We
trust you all
had a prosperous year.
All went well for us. Michelle thoroughly enjoyed herself this year
with volleyball. Now it's basketball season. Joe didn't get much woodworking
done this year, unfortunately...but hopefully come Spring Break will be
different. This year was consumed with union activity again. Teresa
kept busy with all the shuttling Michelle around and with friends and church
activities. Michelle
is doing well in the 4th grade at school and got her best report card -
made us real proud. Snuggles, our companion for the past 13 years died
this summer. We did get two new kittens, but we still miss her alot.
Snuggles,
our constant companion for the past 13 years died this summer. We
eventually broke down and got two new kittens, but we still miss Snuggles
alot. Smokie and Tabitha are Michelle's girls....they spend most
of their time with her and sleep with her at night. (Check out her
page on the website). Life is not dull with those two we lovingly refer
to as the "savage horde." |
Our
Christmas tree is about 15-years old and is showing it so we got a new
one. The replacement didn't fair well. The cats climbed up the middle of
the tree and learned how to unhook the branches. Christmas has never seemed
so near and dear to see small cats dragging off limbs 3x their size around
the living room. The plastic chili pepper light covers got plucked
off next and then the light strands themselves got pulled off the tree
and dragged through out the house. And I bet you thought I was exaggerating
when I referred to these two as the "savage horde." So....I packed up the
new tree for next year and unpacked the old tree with the idea it's branches
cannot come off. But....the "purring vultures" now perch up in the tree.....right
about eye level near the top of the tree.
I
haven't decided whether to refer to them as our new Christmas tree "angels"
or just the "fur-covered gargoyles." Considering they went through two
fake Christmas trees and left us with a bare tree this year, it could be
a long year!
We
hope you had a great holiday season have a very memorable and happy New
Year.
